A folk manifestation that may be expressed in two different modalities:

1 – A reenactment of the battles fought between the Christians and the Moors during the Crusades. The Cavalhada in Pirenópolis in the state of Goiás, central-western Brazil, is the most prominent one and occurs on the last three days of the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo.

2 – Horse parades, races, and tournaments with medieval origins.

When: usually during the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo, but it can take place in different periods of the year, depending on the city holding it.

Where: in many cities around Brazil
